Jason Osborne

Managing Director 
CA, BBS (Acct), Dip Bus Stud (Finance)

Born and bred in the Wairarapa from a farming background, Jason has many years experience providing specialised accounting advice to Wairarapa clients including the rural community, investors and small business.

Prior to establishing Osborne Group in 2007, Jason spent 7 years as Executive Officer with sole financial charge of a multimillion dollar Wairarapa organisation and 4 years specialising in farm accounting with a Masterton accountancy firm.

Jason derives satisfaction from being able to add value when providing accounting and related services of the highest quality.

Gavin Hodder

Associate Director

Gavin joined forces with Osborne Group in January 2012. Born in the Wairarapa and from a family background of farming in Carterton, Gavin has had extensive business experience in both Chartered Accounting firms and large corporates at a multinational level and local New Zealand level.

Roles that he has previously held include Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Corporate Services Manager, and Chief Financial Officer.

Gavin's focus is on delivering high quality business solutions to both Osborne Group and our clients and offering his experience that has been gained over the years.

Adam Oldfield

Senior Accountant

Adam joined us in 2016 after working at another local accounting firm for the past 7+ years. Adam has recently completed his Bachelor of Accountancy at Massey University and is looking at becoming a full Chartered Accountant in the near future. Adam has experience working in various industries specialising in rural accounting and working closely with not for profit organisations.

When not working he can be found on his lifestyle block with his partner and 2 kids.

Melanie Edwards

Senior Accountant

Melanie has a NZ Diploma in Business and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as an Accounting Technician. Mel has 8 years' experience in accountancy firms and has been with Osborne Group for over 2 years.

Born and raised in the Wairarapa, Mel comes from a horse riding family and enjoys horse riding in her spare time.


Emma Howard


Emma has been with Osborne Group since 2014. She is one of our resident Bookkeepers and is also training to become an accountant.

Emma grew up in the Wairarapa amd with a young family of her own she enjoys time spent with her partner, two adventurous boys and a new baby girl.

Heidi Lawson       


Heidi joined the team in 2017 after three years of working in the accounts team at Tranzit Coachlines. She gained her Bachelors in Accountancy from Massey University in 2015 and is aiming towards becoming a Chartered Accountant in the near future.

Heidi enjoys living in rural Masterton with her three children who keep her busy and taking her dog for runs.


Jacqui Morland


Jacqui grew up in Wairarapa and had been the resident Financial Controller for Pain & Kershaw in Martinborough for many years before joining Osborne Group in 2017.

She lives in Greytown with her husband and two boys, who are locally schooled. Jacqui is based in the Greytown Office.

Jane Grabham

Client Services Administrator - Greytown

Jane is based in our Greytown office, which is handy to her home in Featherston.

Jane has a background in the public sector, where she spent many years while living in Wellington. Jane and her husband moved to the Wairarapa in 2014 for the laid back lifestyle, and have a young son.

Kate Port

Client Services Administator - Masterton

Kate had a Bachelor of Ats from Victoria University, and has recently returned to New Zealand after living in the UK and travelling around Europe.

She enjoys living in Greytown with her partner after making the move from Wellington, and makes the most of the area through running and cycling.

Katherine van Woerkom


Katherine joined Osborne Group in April 2018 after returning from playing hockey overseas. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University.

She was born and raised in Featherston but has recently made the move to Masterton with her partner. In her spare time she enjoys being active outside and spending time with her family.


Matt Almond


Matt has been part of the team since October 2018. He holds a Master of Professional Accounting (Distinction) from Victoria University of Wellington, previously worked at PwC, and is currently working towards becoming Chartered.

Matt grew up on a kiwifruit farm in Te Puke and has a background in primary industry production, including: viticulture, wine, horticulture, crop farming and aquaculture. In his spare time Matt is out enjoying the outdoors with his partner and her two boys.

Svetlana Dumanovskaya


Svetlana joined the team in February 2018 after six and a half years at another accounting firm. She will be finishing her Bachelor of Accountancy in 2018, and aims to become a Chartered Accountant.

Svetlana is originally from Crimea, Ukraine. She has been a Wairarapa local since 2001, and in her spare time she enjoys going hiking, and is passionate about cars.
